Statement
The pieces in this show are from a period when I was transitioning the imagery from the etchings I was doing in college, into works on paper that I could make in my studio without a press. In these works I learned many of the techniques that I still use in my more current work. These works were made using masking tape, graphite, spray paint, and acrylics. Having shed many of the tight material restrictions I used in my prints it was quite freeing to make these drawings with as many materials as I could get my hands on.
